Dog Parks

To view directions to each park, click on the name of the park for a map of the location. These are currently established dog parks in Fresno County, run by Fresno City Parks and Recreation.

 

Woodward Park:

This Dog Park is located inside Woodward Park and is one acre of dog heaven, featuring small/big dog areas. It's located in the North East corner of Woodward Park and is open from 6am to 10pm daily. A park entrance fee of $3 per vehicle applies to anyone entering Woodward Park.

 

El Capitan Basin:

This Dog Park is located at 4257 W. Alamos at the El Capitan cross street. The park is open from May through November from 7am to 10pm daily. The park offers a dog wading pool for your pups to cool off in during the hot summer months.

 

Roeding Park:

This new Dog Park is located inside Roeding Park and is one acre of dog heaven, featuring small/big dog areas. It's open from 6am to 10pm daily. A park entrance fee of $3 per vehicle applies to anyone entering Roeding Park.

 

 

Dog Park Etiquette

  • Obey posted park rules.
  • Always keep your eye on your dog - mischief can happen quickly.
  • Never bring more dogs than you can watch- 3 is about the limit.
  • Never bring food or snacks into the park.
  • Never leave your dog unattended.
  • Always clean up after your dog.
  • Make sure that your dog is current on all shots, including
    Bordetella for kennel cough.
  • Don't bring dogs younger that 4 months to the park. They won't have all of the necessary inoculations to allow them to play safely with other animals
  • Do not bring a female dog in heat.
  • Spayed/neutered animals are recommended.
  • If your dog becomes unruly or plays rough, leash him/her and leave the park.
